Mudra Communications Ltd launches
India's First Online Advertising Library - MAGINDIA.COM

It was first MICA - Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. At a time when there was no professional advertising training institute in India, Mudra Communications Ltd pioneered to set up the first advertising school.

Circa 2000: The third largest advertising house has done it again. Bringing India her first online advertising library, MAGINDIA.COM. At a time when the Rs 8, 000-crore Indian advertising industry was dreaming of a single-point reference for creative work across brands and media.

MAGINDIA.COM is the only online reference site for Indian advertising creatives across media - whether they are advertisements (in radio, press, TV, outdoor or banner) or packaging designs, mailers, PoP, logos or symbols.

WHAT IS IN IT?

To begin with the advertising gallery has two main sections:

*Creative Section
*Non-Creative Section

The Creative Section showcases a total of 5,000 best creative works (for 275 product categories across various brands from 1980 onwards) in Print; Television Commercials (TVCs); Outdoor hoardings; Banner ads on Internet; Packaging designs; Logos/Symbols, PoP; Recent international print ads.

Our aim is to cover the creative work of all the past years, in a journey backwards through time.

Occupying the centre-stage in the Creative Section is 'Ad Legends.' A milestone in itself, the segment is exclusively dedicated to those all-time great people like Brendan Pereira, Freddy Birdy, Naved Akhtar, Panna Jain, Subrata Bhowmick, Sudarshan Dheer, to name but a few, (following the finest creatives & creators is our mission), who have made Indian brands popular not just in India but beyond, through their creative genius.

The Non-creative section includes Daily Marketing and Advertising News (MAN) - This section disseminates news, views & features related to the world of marketing & advertisements. Then there's the weekly Quiz, segments on Events, Springboard (the latest in our product watch segment), Jobs, various useful Resource Links and discussion forum called Viewpoint.

A BUZZ-WORD ALREADY

The beta version of MAGINDIA.COM was test launched on 25 March 2000, the day Mudra turned 20. Since then, well-known search engines like Yahoo, Google, Lycos and Excite have listed MAGINDIA.COM on the top, among the online advertising libraries in the world - a well showered accolade on the Indian Advertising Industry.

THE ROAD AHEAD

MAGINDIA.COM will be hosting new sections like Website designs, Annual Report Designs, mailers, brochures, etc. It dreams to popularise Indian advertising across the globe. But then this is just the beginning on the dotted lines (of commitment).
